I am doing a little experiment and looking for some input specifically from online marketers regarding what your Follow Strategy and Behavior is on Twitter.
- Are you a conservative follower or are you a follow whore?
- Do you follow back everyone who follows you?
- Do you only follow a few people whom you are interested in?
- What is your criteria for following?
- What is your criteria for following back?
- Do you use following software? If so, what?
- Do you use follow autoresponder software? If so, what?
- Do you use multiple Twitter accounts for specific purposes?
- Are you targeting your Follow behavior or do you just go for mass?

let’s try a quick response… these are in order of your questions…
1. Somewhere in the middle…
2. Yes
3. No.. but i target who to follow and I segment my list so that I can watch the people most important to me in a separate feed… (My Niche Experts/gurus/people of influence etc…)
4. I only follow those that are relevant to my market
5. If someone follows me… I follow them! But if they don’t get into my “People to Watch List” it is rare that i will see their tweets… that’s just reality.. as soon as you have a few hundred let alone thousand people that you are following the feeds are just a big blur…
that’s why it is paramount that you have those you value segmented…
6. I use Twitter Karma and Buzzom.com at times…. Will be setting up some auto tweeting in the near future… to maximize my twitter impact…
7. I have a couple twitter accounts but really spend 99% of twitter time with my main account (too many other things to do)

Here is my Motto for Success with Twitter – “Bring Value to Your Twitter Followers and Twitter will bring Value back to You” Twitter and Facebook etc… are amazing places that you can go out and build your Influence… don’t waste it by spamming and bringing No Value to your Market.
